Have you ever burned yourself on your curling iron? Last week while curling my hair, my iron slipped out of my hands, and it was a stupid but natural reaction to catch it before it fell on my foot or the floor. Of course, I received a nice little burn on the outside edge of my pinkie finger.

I immediately applied ice to the area to lower the temperature of my skin, and then I rubbed 100% aloe vera gel onto the area. It really burned bad, but by the end of the day that sensation had subsided. Until I took a bath! The hot water from my bath really made the area start to burn and throb again. That's when I reached for my box of Band-Aid Water Block Plus adhesive bandages, and they really helped.

My box contains 30 bandages, all the same size. They measure 2 1/2" long, and the widest part is 1". The ends taper nicely to 1/2", which makes these more comfortable to wear on a finger. The clear adhesive material is very thin and pliable, and it stays in place extremely well, even when wet.

Most bandages will loosen and come off when they are subjected to wet conditions, and that's where this Band-Aid product differs and really comes in handy. They are 100% waterproof, even when submerged in a tub of hot water for 30 minutes. They not only keep water out of the affected area, but they protect it from dirt and germs as well.

As long as the wrappers are intact, the bandages are sterile. I love that Band-Aid has a picture on the box showing the exact size of the bandage.
