I think that one of the strongest deck types currently seen at competitive events are Fire Type decks. These decks have a tremendous amount of power and their jutsu are some of the best in the game. Fire decks normally combine with wind type and earth type ninja for added support, and use only fire style jutsu that are cheap and easy to pay for in game. So here is my list of a very competitive fire type deck in the Naruto Trading Card Game.

Turn 0
Sasuke Uchiha (Analysis of Competition) x3
Konohamaru (Hokage's Grandson) x3
Kiba Inuzuka (Ninja Art of Beast Mimicry) x2

Turn one is all about early attack. With Sasuke you come out swinging, and the same with Kiba. The thing with Kiba is that if you are opposed in battle you get a bit on information in knowing what cards you opponent has in his hand. Konohamaru allows you to get your Jonin and higher rank ninja out faster.

Turn 1

Shikamaru Nara (Formation) x2
Temari (Analytical Mind) x3

Here you have your Support turn. Both Shikamaru and Temari give amazing support, Temari is a 0/2 healthy when sent out to fight, but when she's opposed she gains extra support for her mental power. This means that at a minimum Temari is a 0/3 when opposed. Shikamaru is 0/2 which is normal for him, but he has the effect of canceling out your opponents head ninjas power. This really puts a stop to many of the new ninja's powers that don't allow them to be removed, like Naruto and Gamabunta Platoon, Rock Lee, Shukaku, Gamabunta and others.

Turn 2

Kotetsu Hagane (Spectator) x2

Kotetsu has average to below average stats, but can power up a head ninja by +1/0 by discarding the top card of your deck. Kotetsu serves the purpose of filling your turn 2 slot, but also can be helpful from the sidelines with his effect.

Turn 3

Hayate Gekko (Judgment) x2
Hayate Gekko (Detecting a Plan) x1
