I describe myself as a die-hard Democrat. Now, I'm afraid to admit--that I must be a bad one. I have found myself very interested in learning more about Elizabeth Kucinich. So, why am I a bad Democrat? I never really listened when Dennis spoke. Well! He didn't have a shot at the White House. That's no excuse. Neither did Al Sharpton, but I did listen to him. Who knows? Maybe I just found Dennis Kucinich to be tooHowever, his wife Elizabeth? Now, she's fascinating!

Elizabeth Kucinich: Her Childhood
Born Elizabeth Harper, the 29-year-old wife of Congressman Dennis Kucinich, spent her childhood in her homeland, England. She lived with her mother and younger sister, in the small village of North Ockedon--in the London Borough of Havering. The social change bug hit early--and at just 14-years-old, she found herself lobbying legislature. From 1989-1996, she attended high school in nearby Upminster, Essex--at Coopers' Company, and Coburn School.
She would go on to University of Kent at Canterbury, where she would receive a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and Theology, and a Master's degree in International Conflict Analysis. Elizabeth Harper completed her studies in 2001.
Elizabeth Kucinich: The Social Activist
At just 18-years-old, in the interim between high school and college--Elizabeth spent time in India. There, she worked as a volunteer in one of Mother Theresa's homes for the poorest of poor children. Upon completing her studies, she lived in Tanzania--where she advocated for regional development.
In England, her volunteer work often took her to House of Lords.
It was at the House of Lords, where she would meet financial analyst, Stephen Zarlenga. She would later be hired as his assistant at the American Monetary Institute in Chicago.
