Virtual Neverland
an imagined network in need of assistance.
The wires connecting labs,
connecting machines,
connecting lands.
Everything connected
in our virtual neverland.
Our lights and labors beamed
connecting the far away to the very near.
Often trying to resist it,
but never failing to reappear.
Maybe the connection never existed.
But a trigger reworked its way into existence.
Maybe we just wanted to see the connection,
its virtuosity in this virtual reality.
Maybe, we just saw what we wish existed,
resisting the very urge to fake resistance.
To see, what we used to see;
to be where we used to be.
Without wires;
without networks;
without land lines
or LAN connections.
Connecting machines
to connecting lands.
Reminding us why
we should take a chance
on a virtual neverland.
