Friends Indeed
When You Need Some One to Listen
I had to get a hold of one of the female friends or relatives, but I couldn't. So I called some one who has been in my life since my graduation year of high school. It was my best friend that I called. When he answered I broke down. Knowing Isaiah would pull me through I let it out. He said that he knew me as a girl who always had her chin up, and he knew I would pull through. Within minutes my tears dried and he had me laughing. After we hung up I was in an okay mood but I still needed to workout some more of my stresses and feelings.
I waited till the friend that I had been living with got off the computer and went upstairs to bed. Then about fifteen minutes after he was in bed I got on the computer, knowing full well the guy friend that I was about to talk to would be angry that I had made such an absurd decision to go all the way across the country just to get away. When I told him about the situation he sure got upset, but he showed he cared. He said instead of going all the way to New York I should have called him up. He had an apartment at the time that I had made the decision to leave Texas. I could have stayed with him, and he would've been okay with it.
It goes to show you that when you think no one would care less about what you do or where you go; that there are still people around that care and would do anything for you if you just ask. Lesson Learned: Talk with some one before you make a big decision. I mean some one that will LISTEN.
