Soul Patrol Keeps on Truckin' with American Idol Taylor Hicks

"It's music man. If it's in your heart, you feel it, you play it, you sing it, you perform it, you bust your buns doing it and that's what it's all about. These are the famous words said by the New American Idol winner Taylor Hicks. The Soul Patrol stood behind him from the beginning calling in the highest number of votes in American Idol history making sure he would be able to play his music for the world to enjoy.

Some media based outlets and fans of other Idols try to diminish his win saying he can't sing and is not American Idol material. But what makes an American Idol or what should an American Idol winner be. Idol is someone who other people look up to. We have people like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Eminem and Marilyn Manson. Do we really want are kids to have these type of people as there Idols. Taylor Hicks is a southern Gentleman who worked his butt off to get where he is. It has been reported by all the other contestants and everyone who has come into contact with Taylor that he is a very nice, friendly and helpful person with a kind heart and soul.

American Idol has its fans every year that claim their choice for American Idol was cheated out of winning by the voting system. This year was no different Chris Daughtery Fans claim the same thing even going as far as to start a petition saying the votes weren't right. He didn't even make it to the final two but some claim he was cheated out of this. So I have decided to cover all the accomplishments Taylor Hicks has made since his rightful win as American Idol 2006.

First off he has a fan base of thousands from all age groups. He is not only America's Idol but he is supported in Germany, China, Scotland, Israel, Malaysia and many more countries all over the world.

Barry Manilow a well respected Singer/Songwriter even said "I think he may be one of the best male vocalists you have on the show." Rod Stewart said "I think Taylor has potentially the most charisma which is a very important part of being a star. He knows how to grab the audience by the balls. USA Today said "The audience loves him he loves them back. It's a circular love fest."
