From horror mastermind Clive Barker (who written and directed Hellraiser), Clive Barker's Jericho hopes to achieve the same success as Clive Barker's books and movies. A brief hands-on time with Clive Barker's Jericho showed a solid, but not spectacular, First Person Shooter.

Story
Before Adam and Eve, God created the "Firstborn." Fearing of its potential powers, God sent the Firstborn into the abyss. Something from the Firstborn on Earth was left behind, however, and manifested throughout the years. It now threatens to unleash the Apocalypse upon the world. It's up to the Jericho team to investigate the situation and take necessary actions.

Graphics
The graphics are superb; the environments look super detailed (although a little too shiny) and creepy while the enemies look downright terrifying (not surprising since they're coming from the twisted mind of Clive Barker). In addition, the frame rate is very smooth. Clive Barker's Jericho does the post-apocalyptic atmosphere extremely well.

Sound
The sound in Clive Barker's Jericho is also of top quality. The creepy background music keeps players tense while the enemies' groans will freak them out. The dialogue is cliché and cheesy but it is to be expected for this type of game.

Gameplay
Although it looks and sounds frightening, Clive Barker's Jericho isn't actually that scary when you get to the gameplay.

For one thing, you, as the decease Captain Devin Ross, spiritually possess a squad of six members for most of the game. Using the directional pad you can issue commands to your teammates to follow you, stay or go to a specific location. You can even assume full control over each squad member.

You will need to control all the members individually in Clive Barker's Jericho as some areas can only be accessible for certain members. Fortunately, each squad members are well equipped for combat. Each of them has their own unique weapons and special paranormal abilities.
