Sure, you may recognize the name Seinfeld, as in "Jerry," but what about his other half - his wife Jessica? Here are some interesting facts about Jessica Seinfeld.

Born September 12, 1971, "Nina Sklar," in Oyster Bay, New York, Jessica Seinfeld shares her birthday with several other famous celebrities, including Jennifer Hudson (American Idol), Linda Gray (TV Series: Dallas) and other celebrities.

Her legal name at birth was Nina Sklar, but on September 25, 1995, she legally changed her first name from Nina to Jessica. She is the daughter of a social worker.

She had only been married for a few months to first husband, Eric Nederlander when she and Jerry's romance took off, meeting at the Reebok Sports Club in New York. Jessica left Nederlander, and later divorced him, for Jerry Seinfeld. At the time, she was a public relations executive for Tommy Hilfiger.

Jerry proposed to Jessica on November 6, 1999. Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld were married on Christmas Day, 1999.

Thinking she was pregnant, Jessica Seinfeld took a home pregnancy test. She tapped the stick on Jerry's pillow to wake him up to the news.

In addition to being Jerry's wife, Jessica Seinfeld is the mother of three children. Their names are Julian, Sascha, and Shepherd.

After the birth of her second child, Jessica Seinfeld says that she found herself in a moral dilemma. She had closets full of used baby and infant clothes and equipment. It was still in great shape. Seinfeld didn't need it, and didn't know where to donate it. The idea for her nonprofit foundation was born.

In 2001, she founded Baby Buggy, which is a non-profit organization serving New Yorkers. Jessica Seinfeld's organization is dedicated to helping New York families in need. Baby Buggy has provided over 2 million items, including clothing and equipment, to families in homeless and domestic violence shelters.

Today, Baby Buggy works with over 80 other nonprofit agencies in New York. They provide items that are new, and used.
