The Man with Glass Eyes
Chapter 1
I was once again dreaming, but i don't know where I've been or if i have even left the room as i have before. This feeling of hopelessness is killing me, the things i see sometimes come to pass or were relevant to something else entirely. I see certain people on the street who look at me like they know me then hurry and turn away. At night it seems like someone is following me yet there is no one ever there. I don't' know what to do, hopefully writing this will help. I don't want to end up in the nut house like my mother.
The dream starts with me waking in to what seems a large bath house, the walls are covered with square white tile. It's dark and cold, so cold i can see my breath and yet there is a mist floating about the bath house that seems to cover every thing. There are large windows above me with glass squares in them that you can't see out of, their held in place by faded lime green trim. I walk cautiously through the room trying to get my bearings in the dark when i slam in to what looks like a bath tub. It comes into focus before my eyes, it's one of those old tubs with the ball and claw feet and no plumbing; the kind one would have to pour hot water into. The mist clears and i can see that the room is filled with more of the same tubs and that they are all filled with water to the rim. It's so cold in the room that i begin to shiver, i can see ice forming along the mist covered walls and the floor is slick with it as well. Yet the mist and steam i see is coming from the water in the tubs, i touch it only to find my hand scalded by the heat from the water. How can i feel that in a dream, but more then that when i awoke later the burn was still there, only faded.
