The third results show of the Fall 2007 edition of Dancing with the Stars aired this evening at 9/8 Central on ABC. It featured musical performances, the couples' ruminations on their performances, and of course, the always dramatic elimination of one couples from the competition.

Tom Bergeron narrated a recap of last night's performances to lead off the show, and then Jennie and Derek performed an encore of their Tango per Len and the other judges' request. Tom and co-host Drew Lachey (who announced that regular hostess Samantha Harris would be returning next week) then reminded the audience of the leaderboard standings from last night, and revealed that Jane and Tony and Jennie and Derek had safely made it to the fourth week of the competition.

Grammy-winning musical artist Seal, clad entirely in white, led off the next segment of the show with a rendition of his mega-hit Kiss From a Rose. A pair of professional dancers hit the floor add visual accompaniment to the music. The studio audience commentary followed with the requisite praise and criticism of the stars and their routines. Former contestant Monique Coleman praised the ladies for being atop of the leaderboard. Marie and Jonathan and Mel and Maksim were then saved from elimination.

Drew interviewed Jennie and Derek and Helio and Julianne backstage to get their impressions of their respective rise and fall. Season four cast member Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter Miley (also known as Hannah Montana to the preteen set) performed the song Ready, Set, Don't Go, and were accompanied by Karina and Maksim on the dancefloor.

Seal gave the television debut of his new single Amazing, surrounded by women dressed in black suits. Next, a pack explaining the musical selections and preparations aired.

Drew opened the next segment by interviewing Cameron, Mark, Wayne and Helio backstage. Another pack explored the celebrities' pre-performance anxiety and their thoughts on dancing for a live audience. TWo more couples, Sabrina and Mark and Cameron and Edyta, progressed on to the next round of the competition, ensuring the a man would be eliminated.

I haven't seen this show but a couple times as my husband doesn't care for it. So thanks for keeping me up to date. I had wondered if he was going to make it.

I enjoy this show very much and now that the not so good dancers are going it will only get better...:)

I was surprised by his elimination too but he handled it pretty gracefully, speaking about taking risks and going outside his comfort zone and how people should do that in life.

Good article! I thought Wayne's fans would float him a little longer too but out of all the dancers this week, I think that it was a good elimination choice.
