When choosing to go to college, there are many reasons to consider before making the decision to attend classes. First, this is one of the first major individual decisions they will make on their own and the student will want to be certain they have chosen the right school. This school should be one that fits their needs and abilities almost exactly. For example, if the applying student is going into art design they will want to make sure the art department is what they are looking for in a degree. If not, then they should look into another school.

Another reason to attend college is that the enrolling student must realize the fast-pace at which the world is moving in the modern era. In today's world, it's very difficult to get ahead and get a successful job without completing any college training. Once a person receives a college diploma, it increases their chances of getting the career they have always dreamed of since childhood.

Third, everyone has a passion to learn if he/she accepts it. Most girls excel in the arts & humanities which lead to careers such as teachers, nurses, cooks, and journalists. On the other hand, most boys excel in math and sciences which include such careers as biologists, engineers, doctors, and lawyers. However, there isn't one career that is specifically for one gender and in every field both genders can be found.

Another reason is most students that attend college attend to have independence. This is their chance to get away from dependence on family and experience life on their own. It's a time to become close to your friends, date, and experience life as you never have before. These are the best years of your life, and it's awesome if you can enjoy them.

Finally, a college degree allows you to be able to think more logically and rationally. It helps you open doors to solving problems easier and becoming more creative in your field. It also gives you a basis for knowledge that you would not have had otherwise, and leads you to wanting to learn more. It's a great way to become intellectual in many specific areas and increase your IQ.
