Your personal computer is just that personal so why sit and stare at the boring typical Windows XP or Vista theme? You could be configuring a cool new theme that is a lot more to your liking with WindowsBlinds a free program offered by Stardock that allows you to change the Vista and XP themes easily. WindowsBlinds is a simple to use tool that will make your computer display and interface more interesting and you can customize it to your liking.

With WindowsBlinds you can make Windows XP and Vista look like totally different operating systems and customize the look and feel more to your tastes. You can pick themes that suite your style, maybe your favorite football team or favorite sports car. There are thousands of skins to download and use and many more created daily by users and creators of the program.

WindowsBlinds isn't only intended to make Windows look better it also adds functionality to the Windows interface. You can create and customize the skins to not only look cool but you can add buttons to the title bar that provide additional functionality like link buttons, program short cuts, and even media player controls. Even though you are choosing skins from Stardock you aren't limited to the way they look, WindowsBlinds gives you complete control over modification of the skins and how they look and feel.

I like how the program allows you to add additional buttons and links to the different windows of the operating system. Sometimes there just isn't what I want in a toolbar or window interface so with WindowsBlinds I can add them as I please. I like to customize things to look and act the way I want them to and I think its awesome that Stardock allows that with WindowsBlinds.

I have to admit I was a little worried at first when I started to use WindowsBlinds that all the added graphics, skins, backgrounds, wallpapers, and other customizations to Windows was going to make it run like crap. I was surprised that it had little effect on my PC's performance other than at boot-up, it takes about an additional 2 minutes to boot-up now but that isn't to bad since I only reboot once or twice a month.
