Where in our Constitution does it lay out the groundwork for entitlement programs? Where in the Constitution does it state that you have a right to have your health or retirement paid for by me? Why is it that we look for government to run more things in our lives and yet complain about the things they are running now?

We have serious problems with Social Security, Healthcare, Medicare etc. First we should start with Social Security since it is one of the most poorly run government programs we have. Social Security was put into place as an entitlement program because the politicians believed then as they do now, that they know how to spend your money and save your money better than you.

The government believes it is more responsible and will look out for your interests more than you. Do you agree with the governments point of view? I doubt it. Do you know of anyone who is happy and satisfied with ther social security? I doubt that as well.

The United States has prospered and grown beyond belief in a short period of time. One of the reasons for our success is Capitalism and the free market. Why wouldn't we turn over those type of programs to the businesses and people who know how to succeed? Would you turn to Hillary Clinton for medical advise? I don't think anyone would because she is a lawyer and Senator, not a doctor.

So then why would we believe that she knows how to run a healthcare system? Think back to a time when Bill Clinton became President running on things such as healthcare and social security reform. The Clintons had 8 years to fix those systems that they are so proud of. Why were they not fixed or replaced by better programs? Have you ever noticed that all elections have politicians make claims that they will be the ones to solve the problems put into place by other politicians?

Takeaways
  • health care
  • social security
  • retirement
