As I write this article, I am sipping on my large mug of pure tea. No milk, sugar, or additives here. My green tea and I have a long history. Within recent years there has been so much information out about the health benefits of green tea. No kidding. My great grandmother was drinking it back in the 1910’s. It has reached the point now where there is even green tea in gum. Ever try Green Tea Ice Cream, though? OOHHLALALA!! I like to think that sipping my cups of tea offer me much outside of all the hype. There are so many uses and purposes for my tea. Life would be difficult without my tea. I will describe why below..I buy tea since it tastes so good. I find it is easy to enjoy. My mouth feels clean while I am drinking tea. Green tea does not coat my teeth like other beverages do – excluding water. I also notice that I feel lighter when I drink green tea as compared to other beverages – excluding water. In fact, it has been shown that green tea helps dental and oral hygiene. Those reasons alone are enough for me to keep drinking my tea.
My tea comes in various forms. I can buy it in bulk form and enjoy the aroma while scooping it. I would not recommend carrying bulk tea around while traveling, though. I once had a friend who did this and was busted for marijuana possession by the police. True story. I won’t go into details here. Or, I can buy my tea in teabag form and carry it around in my purse.
I usually purchase my tea in bulk. I find it has a fresher taste than the tea bag form. Also, the bulk form goes through less processing and handling. I like that. It is fun to go to the bulk food section of various grocery stores and check out the variety of teas. And, let us not forget the smell! Oh, I love my tea.
