Abused Women Why They Stay

Abused women stay with their abusive man because they are afraid to leave him alot of the time the man will say if you leave me I will kill you or even say he will hurt their family. so the women are afraid for their lives and their family too. They make it hard for you to leave too because they make it so you don't have any friends and no one to turn to.

My co-worker has been in a abusive relationship that she just got out of . Did I see any signs that she was getting abused , The signs where there she had bruises on her body, she was missing alot of work, or had to leave work early for no explain reasons. Her glasses was broke. She was more depressed talking about going alot drinking, she became less talkative. Did i do anything well I was in denial saying how can someone she says she loves do this to her. My other friend came to me too express some feeling of this too she even one day asked her if she was getting abused and of course she lied and said everything was fine. We really did"t know what to do after that so we just let it go. I look at in now there are things I could of done and said to her to get her to leave before it got bad as it did. I just was scared and didn't want to believe that any man out their would actually beat the person they say they love.

she is a strong women for finally after the months and months of taking the abuse turning to someone and going to the police to turn him in. I know she was scared but she had no where to go and she couldn't go home she was scared for her life. So now she is staying at a shelter and getting the help she needs. They will help her in counseling, finding a different job, and getting her own place.

she came to me the other day at work and said that she never though she be at a shelter for abusive women she read the pamphlets in school but never thought that someone could actually abuse her. I said no one never believes that people can be so mean out their. The good part is that you got out and didn't stay with him some women don't and their abusive man finally kills them. She continue to tell me the story of the night that he abused her . I know it was tough her talking about it but I'm glad that she is seeing that she did nothing wrong and its his fault.
