Let's face it. A quick breakfast usually comes from your favorite fast food restaurant. But, what if you could enjoy the speed of fast food without all the fat and calories? Would you be willing to try a product that not only tastes great and is low in calories, but can be prepared in 2 minutes? This is something that's important not only for myself, but for my boyfriend as well. He has a hectic schedule and doesn't have time to eat breakfast before heading off to work. Thankfully, there are several products that he can quickly prepare at work. Unfortunately, many of those products are high in fat and calories. This led us to try Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches. Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches claimed to be healthy and quick to prepare, but how would they taste?

Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches Review: Ease of Preparation

Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches couldn't be any easier to prepare. You simply remove them from their package and wrap them a paper towel. Then pop them in the microwave for 2 minutes if they're frozen or 65 seconds if they've thawed. Depending on the power of your microwave, you may have to adjust the time. For example, 2 minutes in my microwave was a bit too long.

Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches Review: Taste

Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches are made with honey wheat English muffins, egg whites, a slice of American cheese, and have turkey sausage, Canadian bacon, or Black Forest ham. We chose the Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches with Canadian bacon. These were so good. I would go so far as to say that these are better than McDonald's Egg McMuffins. You would never believe that these are actually good for you.

Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches Review: Nutrition

The calories in Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches range from 230 to 260. They only contain 6 to 7 grams of fat and have 15 to 18 grams of protein. This is a breakfast item that will really fill you up and keep you full. If you wanted to round out your meal with a healthy side item, a fruit salad would work perfectly with Jimmy Dean D-Lights Breakfast Sandwiches.

Just tried my first one today, and I am HOOKED. I agree, they're better than Egg McMuffins. The egg white is fluffy, the ham (black forest... mmm..) doesn't get chewy or overdone, and for a low-fat option, they sure don't skimp on the cheese! They are a little on the pricey side for me, but to get something relatively healthy that fills me up and tastes great, they're worth the splurge. And great review :o)

I wanted to add that the egg white in the middle really cuts down on cholesterol too, something you probably noted :) and yet it still tastes GREAT. My son, a fast food lover, still enjoys this much healthier choice.

I can't remember if I commented on this one but I checked to see if there were any product reviews of this one up because I was going to do one. I found your review that way. I just wanted to add that these are delicious. They are low-fat, low-calorie and a super alternative to the high fat alternatives found at many places. GREAT review!
