What is clean burning and throws off a wonderful scent, and has a cotton wick? The answer, a soy candle. Candles have gone through fads, like at one time is was a carved candle, this was when the wax was still hot they take thin strips of the candle and twist it. Usually the underside was a different color, and it made for a nice effect. Then highly scented candles, every candle maker was trying to out do each other with double strength scents candle, triple scented candles. Then that was replaced by the gel. Gel candles offered a pretty scene like sea shells, embed in a clear gel and made cute underwater scenes and now we have soy.

Soy candles are environmentally friendly, The are clean burning, meaning the residue does not stick to the glass or leave behind the black soot, associated with paraffin. Soy candies also come at the right time with so many people wanting to go green. The soy is an all natural substance, which many more people are wanting in their homes and personal lives. Also gaining popularity is the soy melts. A soy melt is a piece of scented soy way, and it placed in a melter that melts and the scent is diffused through out the air. Soy melts are much more fragrant, then candles because when you light the candle, the flame burns off the cent. In a melt there is no flame, and therefore the scent is not burned off.

Another popular item in this soy craze is a wax critter. These are stuffed animals that are dipped in the scented soy wax. What is a wax critter used for, as an air freshener. But they are best used in small areas, such as bathrooms or a baby's room.

What is best of all about soy candles, melts, and critters is that the soy holds the scented oils that is used to make the candles, much better then the old paraffin. The scent throws from the soy products are truly wonderful.

I love the way soy candles burn, they are the only candle that don't give my hubby a headache. But the ones I have found are so expensive.
