Description of the product:

The product comes in a brown bag with brown text. It says "Miss Vickie's Mesquite BBQ BBQ Champetre." That bag is a few different shades of brown. It is light brown at the top and dark brown at the bottom. There is a picture of a farm in the darker brown area. There is also a band that is a bit of an orange color with an oval that has a brown top and a green bottom. Pictures in the oval is a barbecue pit.

All of this is basically a way of saying that these are barbecue flavored potato chips that come in a brown colored bag.

What the product promises:

The front of the bag states, "From our farm to you."The promise is also stated in French. It also states that the potato chips are handmade style. This is also stated in French. In fact, even on the back, the ingredients and the information are printed in both English and French.

The English portion states, "We've crafted this recipe to bring you the wonderful taste of our Mesquite BBQ flavored potato chips. It's the flavor of a less hurried time. We make these chips by carefully slicing and cooking them in kettles in small batches to bring you the honest, simple and fresh taste of long ago."

What the product offers:

When the bag is opened, the fresh pop of a potato chip bag is heard. There is a subtle sweet smell to the chips. They are covered in mesquite barbecue flavoring that gives them a slight orange look.

Once the chips are tasted, it is discovered that they have a pleasantly mild barbecue taste. Unlike other barbecue flavored potato chips, the flavor is not too strong. It give just the right amount of flavor that both the mesquite flavor and the potato chip can be tasted. It is not too hot, either.

The chips are also very crunchy. There is no disappointment in the freshness of the potato chips.

Is it worth it?

If you like barbecue flavored potato chips, this product is definitely worth buying. You can either buy single serving bags or bags that can be kept that have more than one serving. For a single serving bag, you should not pay more than $1.50. For a bag that is around 14oz, or perhaps a bit smaller, you should not pay more than $3.50.

These are just usually sold in grocery stores. Perhaps they are more of a southern thing? They are just by Frito Lay, though, so check online. They can probably be ordered.
