For the many gamers who bought any of the three PlayStation 3 SKUs at retailers may have complain that Sony's PS3 wireless SIXAXIS controller lacked rumble vibrations due to the addiction of motion sensing and also because of the lawsuit regarding Immersion of copyright infringement. Now that the lawsuit war is over between Sony and Immersion and both parties had finally come to an agreement, it looks now that Sony can finally bring back the controller that they want all along, the Dual Shock 3.

It's not Sony's idea that the SIXAXIS controller exist, but because they don't want to get involve with Immersion anymore, that's why rumble vibration was not used in the new PS3 SIXAXIS controller in the first place, but when the greedy Immersion figured that they could actually make money off of Sony's videogame marketing, they then finally reconsidered and decided that it's no big deal and now we finally got the controller that we all have been wanting which we should've got from the beginning of the PlayStation 3's launch if Immersion hadn't ruin Sony's plan with lawsuit and copyright infringement. Immersion knew that if Sony won't use their rumble no one would that's why they reconsidered and flop back to Sony. It's good that Sony got rumble vibration back but it might be a bit too late as well since most of the gamers out there already had experience with the SIXAXIS controller especially with games like Warhawk coming out.

Takeaways
  • Immersion once sued both Microsoft and Sony for using their rumble vibrations
  • Now it seem that Immersion came back to Sony to reconsidered
  • It's because of Immersion that Sony made the Sixaxis controller in the first place
Did You Know?
Sony's Sixaxis controller is not an upgrade from the Dual Shock 2 but was a controller in place of the Dual Shock 3 since Immersion sue Sony for using rumble. Now Immersion want to reconsider so they can have half of what Sony make in the market.

Actually we didn't get the rumble because of Sony did not wanted to pay the royalties to Immersion as every other company that uses haptics technologies on their products.
