Oh, Odysseus, where are you? Your absence has made my suitors into greedy pigs, wanting to be the King. They believe your dead, but I know your still there, voyaging back home. They're forcing me to marry them. They want me to marry a suitor so he can become the King! I'm trying to circumvent them by telling them I need to prepare a garment for my wedding. Then, I make my garment but during the night, undo everything I have done. They eat all our food, slobber down our drinks, and they don't even think about manners! They waste our food. They treat our servants like... slaves! It's horrible! I miss you very much and wish you would come back home.

Love,

Penelope

PS. Please tell me when you will come back.

PPS. Hurry!

From: Odysseus

Penelope, there have been difficulties when we left from the Trojan War. Poseidon has been malicious with my crew and me. There have been many strange things we have seen. There was Circe, who turned my men into pigs. I stayed on her island for a while. There were strange rocks that would not let my boat pass. We had to go by a different route, which we had tried to skirt. There were also the sirens. They lulled sailors to there doom with their songs. I had my men plug their ears and made them tie me to the mast so I could listen. We also went to the land of the dead where we had to sacrifice a sheep so we could speak to a clairvoyant. He told us of dangers that were to come. There are so many boulders on our track to home, so many things that ensued because of Poseidon blowing us off course. But do not worry. I will kill those suitors when I come back and we shall have a blissful time.

Sincerely, Odysseus
