With all the small towns being taken over by big business and with the progression of society, this little town between Edgewood and Fife is still considered, in my opinion, still a little piece of Americana.

I started my search for a place to live while working in Tacoma on an Army base. It was a long arduous journey with most of the housing taken by returning soldiers and their new wives, moving off the base and into the civilian community. I can almost sympathize with their wanting to leave the military behind at the end of their workday, but to congest ALL of the town was ridiculous. I've lived around military towns all my life but not one quite like this one. There was a waiting list three months long, and I am not talking short months either. I was looking for something close to work, but not too close for comfort. I wanted something decent, aren't we all looking for such things, and a place that was reasonably priced. Trust me when I say, there's allot of places that are reasonably priced in Washington state, but some should be closed down by the health department. So, I'm searching further out from where I work to all types of places. I looked at rural places, which is too rural for me. And there's no metropolis except Seattle, and that was too far away with the price of gas the way it is today. So, I found a place called Milton, which is north of Fife, another small town.
