Abortion does not stop a heartbeat if it occurs before the fetus's heartbeat begins to beat, usually around day 22.
Blanketed statements like that make you seem like a less reliable source of information.

Ali- Stop the name calling. I know this is a heated issue for many people, but we need to respect other people's comments.
I am pro-choice. That does not mean I am pro-abortion. I have not met a single person who, under normal circumstances, wants to kill a fetus. The issue we are discussing here is whether women should have the right to access a safe abortion if she so decides. I do not believe I am morally superior to any other woman. I do not think that in my infinite superiority I should make decisions for her that will affect the rest of her life. Therefore, it should up to her and her ethical code if she would like to be pregnant, or not.
The biomedical ethics behind abortion is interesting. There is a multitude of responses to the question, "When does life begin?" Some people believe at conception, some believe at the first heartbeat, others when the fetus can survive on its own, and some at birth. This would likely influence the outcome of when and if you think abortion

Brianne you're an idiot. What's the difference from a baby thats full grown to a baby thats just conceived? A baby is a baby, it is a living thing either way. You think it should be legal so people can have a second chance? So by someone having a second chance it means killing an innocent human being and giving it no chance what-so-ever at life? i think that abortion should be legal for the simple reason that you have a second chance to do things differently.but i dont agree with those who do it so constantly.i dont think that you should take advantage of the fact that u can do it whenever u just get pregnant.i also dont agree whith those who get an abortion when the baby is full grown.whats the point in having an abortion when in a few months that baby can be born.abortion has its pros and cons but when you use it to ur advantage and abuse the situation so many time i strongly disagree.
