How to Get Your Child into Modeling

Top modeling tips to start your child in the exciting world of Child Modeling:

1) We recommend that you work with a modeling agency or childrens manager - do your research about each of the agencies in your area

2) You should live within 50 miles of the agency that you are submitting your child to

3) You do not need professional modeling photographs of your child to go to an open call, visit with agency or mail your submissions to

4) You can use digitals or snapshots of your child to submit to the agencies

5) make sure that your childs photographs are clear, up to date and no other children are in the photographs with your child

6)When mailing your child's photographs - on back of the photographs write your contact information, the sizes of the child(stats) childs birthdate

7) When going to the agency you will meet with one of the agents or director, they may ask you some questions, look at your child's photographs and they may take your child into a seperate room to see how the child reacts without you in the room - this meeting will be very brief.

8) The agents or modeling board will decide in a few days if the child is the right fit for their agency and will contact you.

9) There are many reasons that a child may not be accepted by the agency
a) the child may be too young
b) the agency may have other children with the same look as your child
c) the agents or director may feel that is may not be the right time for your child to begin modeling - if this is the case maybe resubmit photographs in a few months.

10) Always remember that if your child is not having fun going to castings and auditons or like being on set maybe you should stop for a while and see if he or she would like to model again at another time.
