3 Country Kitchen Budget Makeover Projects
Here are three of my favorite budget country kitchen makeover projects. These country kitchen DIY projects can be accomplished in a weekend or a matter of hours!
Painted Country Kitchen Cabinets
Painted kitchen cabinets are one of the most dramatic and super cheap ways to start on your path to a country kitchen. Be sure to sand and prime your kitchen cabinets before you resurface them to fit crountry kitchen décor.
Paint colors of country kitchen cabinets can vary greatly. White is always a popular country kitchen cabinet color and a safe bet if you are worried about choosing a color.
Other options for paint color in a country kitchen would be a nice warm yellow, a rustic blue, or even a barn red.
A gallon or two of paint won't even cost you $50 and you will be amazed at the difference in your new country kitchen.
Rustic Country Kitchen Hardware
You can change just about any kitchen cabinet hardware to fit a rustic country kitchen. Any metal or wood kitchen cabinet handle or hardware can be painted. Be sure to choose paint that matches your surface.
If you have metal kitchen cabinet hardware, then use a metal prier first. Let this dry, then pain the cabinet hardware out in almost any color. Red is a fun country look that can really add a pop of color.
Rustic hammer metal spray paints also look perfect in a budget country kitchen. You can also use faux rust paint treatments.
Finally, if you went with a colored country kitchen cabinet on your budget country kitchen makeover, then try painting your kitchen cabinet hardware out in an antique white paint finish. You can buy antique white spray paint kits at the local home improvement store.
Country Kitchen Beadboard Decor
Beadboard anything is also a wonder way to get a country kitchen on a budget. You can add beadboard to almost any surface.
Do not be scared to work with beadboard. You can buy traditional bead board by the piece or easier to handle faux beadboard by the sheet.
