Surprisingly, many recreational drugs are being sold legally on the Internet. These include strong hallucinogens that are comparable to LSD. These require no age verification or even a prescription. What I found is that these drugs are not regulated yet, because very few people know about them or use them. The purpose of this article is not to promote these drugs, but to educate the public that they exist. None of my links in this article will go directly to a source that sells them. Although, every drug I list is sold widely on the Internet and has sources that are easy to find.

It is important to realize that none of these drugs are regulated and have not been scientifically tested. Therefore, the information that I have about possible side effects will be limited to side effects that drug users have reported.

The hallucinogens include Amanita Muscaria, Ayahuasca, Salvia Divinorum, Sinicuichi and Rivea Corymbosa. This is not a complete list of all legal hallucinogens, just certain ones I found that are easily obtainable on the Internet.

Amanita Muscaria is a mushroom that causes hallucinations. Side effects may include euphoria, exhaustion, sweating, dissociation, nausea and sedation. Many drug users have reported they have had a bad trip on Amanita Muscaria. Out of all the legal drugs I have listed this one also seems to have the worst side effects.

Ayahuasca is a hallucinogen that is widely used in medicinal rituals. In Peru they believe this substance can cure depression, cancer and a wide variety of ailments. It is said to create a euphoric state in which you will have visions. No known negative side effects.

Rivea Corymbosa chemical make-up is similar to LSD and acts as a mild hallucinogen. Used often in Mexico and Peru to dull pain and treat tumors. Rivea Corymbosa produces a relaxed calm state and creates hallucinogenic visions. No known side effects with regular dose. If you overdose it can cause nausea and vomiting.

Good information, minus the fact that Amanita Muscaria's nausea can be avoided by cooking the mushroom. :D And usually after a 'bad trip' people come back with greater insight and realization in their lives.

The plants werent even 'meant' to be ingested, they are biological systems that use alkaloids that disrupt normal sensory perception and brain function. Priori is that these evolutionary traits came about to detur us from eating them. Go figure. But thats beside the point. Hallucinogens are rarely used to escape anything. Using them intensifies subjective experience, even if it distorts it some what. If you are wanting to 'get away' then you should definitely not be using hallucinogens. If you take them under any stress or in an adverse mental state, the shit you see will probably scare the crap out of you. You have to have tried tripping atleast once, under ideal circumstances to understand why people like it. The fact that some people do find it obscure and frightening precludes them from ever really having a good trip. And as for having no control over or ability to differentiate between reality and the hallucinations, thats not true. With lsd, and psilocibin(sp), its pre

The point of someone hallucinating should not be for one to lose sight of reality but instead to gain better insight into oneself and the world one lives in. These plants were not meant to be used as an escape; they are teachers with lessons to be learned.

I can understand wanting to escape this reality for a little while, but that's why I sleep. At least then I know I'll wake up. Bad trips...too scary.

I find it funny how you link to information on websites that sell the products, do you think they're unbiased in providing this information? Second, Salvia Divinorum is NOTHING like LSD, the only thing it has in common with LSD is that it is an incredibly potent hallucinogen. It's duration is extremely short. Ayahuasca is in a legal grey-area because it contains a DEA Schedule 1 drug, DMT. Everything except Salvia and Ayahuasca are really not worth doing because they'll make you sick and are not worth it, that's why they're not regulated.

I've never known why anyone would ever want to hallucinate. To me, that is the scariest thing in the entire world. As a teenager, I had lots of friends who used to on occasion trip on shrooms and LSD, and I thought they were CRAZY. To me, it is one thing to be simply high, yet another to be unable to differentiate between reality and your hallucinations!
