Because Ann Coulter stated that "converted Jews would be perfect Christians," dreahwrites concluded that "Ann Coulter is the AntiChrist." I started the response below in her 'comments'-section, but it obviously got too long! Witnessing "Ann Coulter in action" requires Gnosis, to which I try to direct you....

Ann Coulter isn't THE AntiChrist (the one and only "other, bathed in holy animal-fat"), because I am also!

I can stand behind her statements, because I DECIDE to understand them in a favorable way; you do not, and that's your thing.

"Ann Coulter Claims to represent Christians when she does not."

Who are you to decide what "Christian representation" is?

"Ann Coulter is a liar."

Really? Millions-and-millions of years of evolution? in only six days?? Hmm ...

"... an excellent liar breaking a major commandment every time she opens her mouth. For example, she claims that Christians consider themselves perfected Jews... I do not remember considering myself that."

You do not consider yourself a child of God, justified by faith in His Son? ... pity ... And, about 'breaking a major commandment': that's what you do late in your article, claiming to "know" why Ann claims to represent Christians ... even if you're right that 'she's in it for the money,' it's very small of you to assume that money is the end-goal.

"Ann Coulter is Crazy."

I KNOW! Reacting to things she senses in the same manner as the world would; PSYCHOTIC!

"She bases her statements on stupid unsubstantial things like Seinfeld episodes, which were, by the way, about nothing." ... and seen by millions of people; forgive me for believing that I have the only wonderful human brain that forms opinions based on 'unsubstantial things' like "mindshare" and "logic."

"She said that mixed race couples in NY have a chip on their shoulders and then backed up her statements with a Seinfeld episode about Elaine and a black boyfriend."

So, are you going after Seinfeld's writers now?

Takeaways
  • Ann Coulter is only one of many AntiChrists.
  • DreahWrites has chosen a destructive way of understanding Ann Coulter.
  • Ann Coulter needs to convert a Jewish husband.
Did You Know?
Your understanding of "AntiChrist" is probably the misguided translation of two words, one meaning 'other' and the second meaning 'baptized.'

I'm *like* an atheist; I call myself an Humanist Gnostic, because I 'know'(Gnoso-somethin-er-other) how religion is false before people make sure it's true.

Oh Jennifer, I wasn't saying that Judaism is right or -wrong. Just that they seem to misunderstand Jesus! But I bless you. Jesus can't use my blessing, but it might make YOU feel better!

ah hell. the religious wars. i'll leave you all to squabble amongst yourself, and smuggly baske in my well made decision to opt out.

As far as I can tell, religion (admittedly judging mainly by Christianity) is about "how to live to construct your Path to Heaven." Christians also believe the afterlife comes 'when the Savior takes us there,' although they believe he's coming for The Second Time.

It isn't a problem...assuming that Christians and Jews are talking about the same guy. But I don't think that they are. My point had to do with an inaccuracy about the Jewish perception of an afterlife. If one doesn't understand the religion (and I don't pretend to have a comprehensive understanding of Judaisim!) I think the logic in the comparison sort of falls apart.

why is that a problem, bob?

I may be mistaken about this, but I believe that Jews do believe in an afterlife...after the saviour arrives, according to the Old Testament prophesies. The problem, as I understand it, is that they don't think he has arrived yet.

Exactly.

well, i suppose one might just want to ask oneself if one wants to be understood, see? Case in point. Read your second paragraph...now, who can understand what you are saying there?

Jennifer, I wasn't sure how to make the responses I felt seem like "standard" sentences ... i.e. I was sort of 'writing off-the-top-of-my-head.' I realize, of course, that I should've been the good self-editing writer and made sure every thought was cleanly stated in rank-and-file, that a 'real' publisher would not have let this post past; therein is the good/evil feature of Web 2.0 (good that opinions might go unchecked, evil that opinions might be considered 'as "official" as a Big Media's other messages.')

I'm not looking for tame, or not tame...my comment wasn't about TONE. I'm saying your sentences don't make sense. I'm saying that some of them look like gobbledygook. I mean that someone would read a sentence you wrote and not know what you are saying...not just that one cannot find a conclusion.

You're right Jennifer. I didn't come to any conclusions. Maybe that's because I wasn't judging Ann Coulter one way or the other. If anything, I was trying to communicate that one should not state one's opinion as if fact (as I think Dreah was trying to do). She SHOULD be able to state enough FACTS so that we make our own judgements (if we are so inclined). I know that makes stuff seem 'tamer,' but then "that's journalism."

JB, let's not with the hatin`. - - I don't know anything about the 9/11-widows--do you even REMEMBER the Murrah Federal Building?!? (seperate incident, I know)--but I think the point was that THE WIDOWS AREN'T ON THE WAR-FRONT, FIGHTING WITH A FIRE THAT ONLY A WOMAN'S VENGEANCE CAN MANIFEST.
