"Big Brother 8" Houseguest Zach Swerdzewski returned home to Tallahassee this month to decompress before returning to California, where he's lived for the past six years. I caught up with Zach last Thursday at Tallahassee's Pockets Pool & Sports Pub to get the low down about this season's "Big Brother" and find out about his surfwear line called Dolphin Crash. This is Part One in a two-part series with the reality TV star.

JA Huber: What's it like being back in Tallahassee?

Zach: It's nice to be back. It's relaxing. It's weird walking through the door and people are like, 'Oh my god!' I'm just a normal guy, a Florida State Seminoles fan. It's been pretty overwhelming.

JA Huber: So, is Pockets your favorite hangout in Tallahassee?

Zach: My brother [Thadd] loves this place. We're meeting up with others later.

JA Huber: What are your favorite Tallahassee hangouts?

Zach: Back in the day Poor Paul's and Potbelly Thursdays were pretty fun. I'm grown up now so there are different crowds of people. I still like Potbelly's, Paradise on Fridays is fun. I do like Pockets.

JA Huber: Do you talk to any other "Big Brother" Houseguests?

Zach: I talk to Jen, Mike and Nick all the time. Danielle flew to Minnesota and got in a U-Haul with Nick. They're dating and he's moving to California, which is cool, because he was my best friends in the house, I'm going to keep in touch with them. I talk to Jen all the time even though she's a little out there. Overall, those are the three I'll keep in touch with the most because I'll be able to see them. Jameka and Jessica I'll keep in touch with e-mail.

Rainbow Cruises is doing a celebrity reality cruise for reality players and a bunch of us from "Big Brother 8" were invited to go to that in March. So I'll get to see Dustin, Eric, Jessica, Jen and Jameka. They don't want either of the Donato's because they hated their game play. I told them I wouldn't go if they were on there because I may throw Dick off the ship.

JA Huber: Have you watched any of the "Big Brother 8" episodes?

Zach: No, not so much.

JA Huber: Were you surprised about Eric being America's Player?

Sonja: I agree, Zach is a nice, down-to-earth, intelligent guy. He's very driven and motivated. Erika & Jcorn: I was excited to interview him, too. I saw that he was in town, dropped him a message and he let me knew where he'd be to chat about BB8 and Dolphin Crash. He has so much energy, it's a bit contagious.

I loved reading this article, as I'm a huge Big Brother fan. That's great that you got to interview Zach - I was so proud of him for winning that round of the final competition. :)

Zack is a nice good looking intelligent guy. He will go far if only he doesn't fall for a girl that will run his life. Zack played a great game and I hope his life continues to be good. Being born, raised and in CA forever, I encouraged my kids to marry some one from out of state. My son married a CA girl who wears the pants in the family!
