The problem of global warming has now made the world aware of its horrid existence. It is too bad that the human race and all of our politics couldn’t have done something significant to reduce this threat before it reached this level of magnitude. It is simply amazing that many bodies of government the world over can spend billions of dollars on designing weapons of mass destruction to kill this planet and its inhabitance but it can’t spend an equal amount on its protection and ultimately the survival of all manner of creatures including the human race.

If each an every human being would look around at what a glorious Earth we have been given and see all the wonders that live and thrive here, maybe we all would think twice about the things we do “for our own good,” because if it kills the other beings that dwell with us then there is nothing ‘good’ about it. The problems of Global warming are tremendously many, they stretch further than most would think possible. I have personally talked with some who believe that the problem will simply cause longer summers. This ignorance is the very reason that so little has been done until now. We, as the most intelligent species, should act as protectors and guardians to all those weaker than we are, and should reconnect with the earth and give a voice for all the inhabitants that can not speak for themselves.

Scientists say that polar bears and seals face the all too real threat of extinction in only a few decades because of global warming that the earth has been forced into. The fish that live in the icy waters of the Arctic are dying off at rapid rates which throw the entire food chain of this region off balance. These animals are literally starving to death because the Earth is withering away. Tonje Folkestad, a WWF climate change expert, says: "Polar bears will be consigned to history, something that our grandchildren can only read about in books.''

First of all, you disgusting moron, I didn't hump any 13 year old. EVER. And your slander doesn't amuse me at all. If you silly slimes could focus on reality for just five seconds, you'd know how stupid you sound. The earth has warmed and cooled for millions of years, idiot. We didn't cause it and Kyoto can't stop it. Disagree with me if you're dumb enough, but leave the lies and slander in your own closet... where they belong....

Christ wants warmth!

To those who so blithely dismiss the very idea of human-caused global warming-first, the Kyoto protocols, if we were big enough to meet them, would only be a first step in reversing what we have done. But I offer this experiment-park yourself in your garage, leave your big ole gas guzzler running, and just hang out for awhile..the problem of too much pollutant in too little space will show itself soon..sure, the atmosphere is bigger, and can handle alot..but we are pouring millions of tons into it everyday..

First of all, the Kyoto Treaty is crap. It only penalized industrialized countries and allowed all the pollution the poor countries wanted to produce. How the hell does that help? Most of the industrialized countries already work on cleaner air and water and clean up after themselves. Secondly, the pres. doesn't pass laws... not legally. They have to go through the process. Thirdly, the "surplus" was imaginary at best and only if the higher taxes remained.

He would have enforced the Kyoto Treaty! He would have passed new laws to protect the earth and found the money in the surplus we used to have.

Are you nuts Gates? Bradish was right on the money and you're a day late and a dollar short. You can't legislate the environment, dummy! What do you think Gore would have done? Used a great big straw and sucked up all the pollution by himself? God knows he has a big enough mouth!

Posted on 07/22/2006 at 2:07:00 PM

Mr. Bradish shouldn't speak ill of Al Gore. If he'd been elected, he would have put a stop to global warming by now! Have you seen his movie? Maybe we'll get smart and elect him next time.
