Are you a Harry Potter fanatic who would love to re-read the Harry Potter books and discuss them with other Harry Potter enthusiasts? Or, have you heard a lot about the Harry Potter book series, but you have not quite gotten around to reading them yet? A book discussion group with a Harry Potter theme would be perfect for you. Where can you find such a book discussion group? The following provides ideas for where to find a Harry Potter themed book group as well as how to start your own group.

Your Book Discussion Group

If you are already a member of a book discussion group, suggest the Harry Potter book series as the next series of books for the group to read. Reading the Harry Potter series could be a fun, refreshing change from feeling like you need to read the classics. If picking the next book for your book discussion group always feels like a chore, deciding to read the Harry Potter book series would eliminate that chore for quite a while.

The Local Library

Not currently a member of a book group? Talk to your local librarian to see if the library already has a book discussion group that would be willing to read the Harry Potter series. Be sure the group is open to new members.

The Local Bookstore

Local bookstores often have book discussion groups that meet in the café area of the store. Look for postings on the bulletin board or ask an employee whether there is a book group that reads fiction that would be open to reading the Harry Potter books.

Your Friends and Neighbors

Word of mouth can be a great way to find out about a book group, and if that person is a member of the group, then you have the advantage of already knowing one of the group members. Talk to everyone you know and express your interest in becoming involved in a Harry Potter themed book discussion group. The Harry Potter series is wildly popular, and so you are sure to find many people who would love to read them.

Great timing! With Dumbledore's coming out, I'm sure readers will be revisiting the books now for clues about some of the other characters.
