I love yogurt and it's a regular part of my diet. I have my favorite brand that is nonfat and low in calories and sugar, but I like trying different brands occasionally for a little variety. I noticed that Silk now makes yogurt so I bought one for a taste test. I've had bad experiences with soy yogurt in the past. I love Silk products though, so I thought I would give them a try.

Silk Live! Soy Yogurt comes in eight flavors in 6 ounce containers and in Plain and Vanilla in 32 ounce containers. The 6 ounce flavors are Banana Strawberry, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Key Lime, Peach, Raspberry, Strawberry and Vanilla. My store only had the strawberry banana and blueberry available so I chose the first flavor.

A 6 ounce serving of strawberry banana soy yogurt has 150 calories, 2 grams of fat, 0 grams saturated and trans fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 25 mg of Sodium (1% of the RDA), 29 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 18 grams of sugars, and 4 grams of protein. Each serving also contains 50% of the RDA of Vitamin C, 30% of the RDA of Calcium, and 6% of the RDA of Iron. Silk soy yogurt has live, active yogurt cultures.

The flavor of the yogurt is quite delicious and the texture is so rich and creamy it's hard to believe that it only contains 2 grams of fat. There is the slightest hint of soy flavor, but it's quite nice and not nearly as strong as some of the other soy yogurts I've tried. The flavor of the strawberry banana was very good and there were chunks of real strawberries in the yogurt.
