A Review of York Photo Labs: Could You Save Money and Become Your Own Photo Processor?

A few years ago, after I had paid an exorbitant amount of money- yet again- to have a roll of film developed, I saw an advertisement for York Photo Labs. Their prices were much lower than what I had been paying, so I decided to give them a try. Read this York Photo Labs Review and find
out if they can save you money and become your photo processor as well!

About York Photo Labs
York Photo Labs is a mail-order business. For the convenience of their customers, and for speedier service, they have service centers in Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Hampton Park, MD, Hartford, CT, Indianapolis, Parkersburg, WV, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Tampa. York Photo Labs provides First Class, Postage-Paid envelopes free-of-charge, so you don't have to worry about weighing each envelope and then digging up enough stamps.

Even though their main business is processing film, which they've been doing for over sixty years, York Photo Labs also sells film. Currently, for example, you can buy one roll of 110 film, 24 exposures for three bucks. Of course, the more film you buy at once, the cheaper it is.

The company also has Digital Photo Services, Reprints, Photo Gifts, Photo Albums, and many more reasonably-priced products.

York Triple Guarantee of Excellence
York Photo Labs doesn't just offer its customers a standard guarantee, theirs is called the "York Triple Guarantee of Excellence." The company has processed many rolls of film for me over the past, probably five years, and I have only had to take them up on their offer one time.

If you're not completely satisfied with your picture, York Photo Labs will refund your money, give you a free replacement roll of film, or give you a coupon you can redeem for free processing. It's a "no hassle" guarantee because they don't ask questions. They just strive to make their customers happy.

Ordering From York Photo Labs
To send one to three rolls of film at a time, all you need is one of their postage-paid envelopes, or a mailing label and their order form. You can print the latter out from their website.

Great work. I do pretty much all of my own photos now that we live in a digital world. If I still used film I would probably take it in, but I can't remember the last time I actually bought a role of film. Probably 3000+ pictures ago.
