Tickets for this years World Series are bound to fetch a pretty penny on the internet on sites like eBay and StubHub.com, but if you are one of the luck few who can grab tickets from the actual team websites than you will only have to pay face value. How can this be accomplished?
On Monday, October 22, 2007 the Colorado Rockies will release tickets for games 3,4, and 5 (if necessary). These games will be held in Denver's Coors Field and they will only be available online at ColoradoRockies.com. These tickets will go onsale at 10 a.m. Mountain Time (12 pm Eastern and 9 am Pacific).
Presumably the tickets for the winner of the ALCS, whether it be the Boston Red Sox or the Cleveland Indians, will go onsale at the exact same time on Monday on one of these teams websites (RedSox.com or ClevelandIndians.com). The information about when these tickets will be released should be fnalized after the last out of the ALCS, which could happen anytime between Thursday and Sunday.
These online ticket orders work very simply. According to these websites these tickets are given out in a virtual waiting room, first come, first served. If you are planning on trying to get these tickets you should plan to get to your computer very early and refresh your page very often. It is also recommended that you use a fairly fast computer with a faster internet connection. Dial-Up internet or a slower computer could hamper your chance to get tickets.
For tickets to games played at Coors Field, handled through ColoradoRockies.com, there will be a four-ticket limit per buyer, per game and these limits will be strictly enforced. Prices range from $65.00 for Rockpile tickets (sections 401-403) to $250.00 for infield box (119-142) and club level (214-247) tickets. Service charges will be added to all orders.
Ticket prices for games in Cleveland or Boston should have a similar price range to the ones in Colorado.
