The first game of the World Series will be played on Wednesday, October 24th. But, where? And, more importantly, how do you get tickets to see the World Series? The Major League Baseball website has a link that you can use to buy (or sell) tickets to any of the World Series games. It sounds easy, and it's the first place that might come to mind, but I'd recommend checking other ways to get tickets first.

Buy tickets from the teams
The Colorado Rockies have announced plans for selling tickets to the general public. Tickets from the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club are only being sold online at the teams website. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time. Initially the Rockies announced that they would also be selling tickets in person at Coors Field and other locations, but have changed their minds due to the high demand for tickets.

Use a computer that has high speed Internet access, and plan on being online early. You may want to try to access the site a few minutes before 10:00 a.m., since everyone's clock seems to run just a few minutes different. If you're not successful, keep trying. Remember there will be thousands of people, just like you, trying to get tickets to the World Series in Colorado.

The Rockies have imposed a limit buying 4 tickets per game, per person. Tickets range in price from $65 to $250 if you're able to buy them from the Colorado Rockies directly.

Unfortunately, The Boston Red Sox have already sold out of their World Series tickets. That means that the Red Sox team is no longer a source.

Even though the Cleveland Indians have sold out of tickets, the laws in Cleveland make ticket scalping legal. The Indians have a link on their web page where season ticket holders can sell, and you can buy, tickets to the World Series.

Other sources to buy tickets
You'll find hundreds of other sources for tickets to the World Series, including Craig's list, eBay, ticket brokers, friends, neighbors, and relatives.
