Teachers incorporate art into their lessons every day. Whether kids are drawing faces, coloring maps, or recreating a scene, with a fresh supply of arts and crafts materials, your child's teacher will be able to expand your child's creativity.

The only craft item I would stay away from is glitter. Glitter can make an absolute MESS! I wouldn't give it to a teacher unless I knew they liked using it, and were ok with any possible messes that glitter might make.

#1 Gift idea: Colored markers
Markers come in every color, shape and size. They quickly dry out when kids lose the tops, or forget to secure them. Every teacher will appreciate the gift of new markers for their classroom.

#2 Gift idea: Crayons
Schools provide crayons in very basic colors for students and teachers to use. Today, crayons come in a plethora of colors. You can even custom order a crayon assortment online. Teachers can never have enough crayons or enough different colors.

#3 Gift idea: Paints and construction paper
Every teacher can use these gifts. Watercolor paints, paint brushes, and construction paper are just a few of the craft supplies that your child's teacher will love getting as a gift! Many paints are sold in small paint trays, others in large paint bottles. Whichever you choose, the gift you give will delight your child's teacher.

#4 Gift idea: Brushes
Teachers go through brushes like, well, pardon the pun, water. Lets face it, kids are tough on school supplies, especially brushes. Kids smash them, mush them, pull on the bristles, and otherwise abuse them.

Teachers don't need the expensive brushes that fine artists use, they need economical, sturdy brushes that will withstand the rigors of a classroom of kids when you're giving gifts.

#5 Gift idea: Collage buckets
If you've never seen these before, they're jam packed with puffballs, pipe cleaners, and felt pieces in every possible shape and more.
