Office Accounting Express 2007 Review
Free Small-Business Accounting Software
Office Accounting Express 2007 is a free program for business management which offers an abundant of accounting features for small businesses. You can download the program at the following link. Requirements are a supported operating system in either Windows XP or Windows Vista in addition to Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.Let's get the obvious away first: Office Accounting Express 2007 is free. No hidden fees or any sort of spywares whatsoever. It does have ads, however; fortunately the ads are tucked in to the right-most side of the program and doesn't make any loud and annoying noises. In addition, when you start the program initially, Office Accounting Express 2007 will constantly remind you to upgrade to Office Accounting Professional 2007 (which isn't free) with pop-ups; however, you can click on the "Don't show this message again" box and, thus, preventing the pop-ups from ever showing up again.
Another positive for Office Accounting Express 2007 is that it is loaded with features. All of the basic accounting elements (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, etc.) are in the program. Plus, files from other Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook can be incorporated into Office Accounting Express 2007. You can also add services like Ebay, Credit Card and Paypal to the program (you may have to pay for some of the services).
Office Accounting Express 2007's user interface is easy to understand, especially if you used any Microsoft Office programs before. The interface is simple and very easy on the eyes (the default color blue matches the Windows XP theme really well); yet it also provides enough details and options for the user to understand.
