The Flu season is coming up, and the best defense is a flu shot. If you live in Seattle Washington, there are many options available which this article will cover. Not everyone will need to pay, many insurance plans will cover the vaccines and there are programs available for children and low income residents.

The federal and state funded Vaccines for Children program subsidizes the cost of children's vaccines (including the flu) for all children ages 6 months through 18 years of age. If your children are not covered, check with your child's Doctor about this program.

Both the Flu and pneumonia vaccines are covered by Medicare Part B. If you are on Medicare coverage and also a managed care plan (or HMO) you can go to your regular health care provider to receive yours. If you do not have additional coverage, bring your card with you when you visit one of the below clinics.

Visiting Nurses Service offers the following - Flu Shots $30 / Pneumonia $40/ Thimerosal Free $40/ Flu Mist $35 these are FREE for Medicare B or Secure Horizons patients! Just bring your card with you and they will bill for you. If you have any questions or need more information on any of their clinics listed below, call 425-744-2444. Here is the list of their Community Public Sites:
