This cool Halloween craft project allows you to make a haunted house out of a milk carton.
Halloween Haunted House Craft Project
What You Will Need
Paper milk carton
Construction paper
Scissors
Craft glue
Hot glue
Colored pencils
Straight edged ruler
Select the colors you would like your Halloween haunted house to be. Cut two pieces of construction paper slightly larger than the sides of the side of the milk carton. Select a different color, and cut this paper just the same size as the side of the carton. Draw siding on the sides of your Halloween haunted house craft project. I used brown colored pencil with a bit of shading for my siding. Once these details are drawn, attach the larger pieces of construction paper first, then attach the smaller pieces on top of them. Place a triangle of construction paper inside the folds of the carton. Be sure to use hot glue if your milk carton has a wax coating.
Cut a piece of paper to go over the very top fold of the milk carton, and glue it down. Then cut out a piece that is a bit larger than the top diagonal surface. Use this as a stencil to cut an identical piece. Cut a hole in one of these pieces of paper, to accommodate the spout. This will eventually be your roof. Draw round shingles on the roof, preferably in the same color as the roof, but in a darker shade. Attach the roof so that some of the paper overlaps the edge of the milk carton.
Use the ruler and a colored pencil to draw some bricks on a red piece of construction paper. Cut out a long strip of bricks, then fold the strip upon itself five times. Make this into a box shape and glue it shut. Hold this box up against the diagonal edge of the top of the carton, and draw a line on the side. Do the same on the other side. Cut out this shape so that the bottom of the chimney has a diagonal slant which perfectly matches the slant of the roof. Attach a small strip of paper on the bottom of each side of the chimney. Then attach these strips directly to the roof of your Halloween haunted house.
