The tour, which is set to kick off on Thursday in St. Louis, Missouri, has been sold out almost within the first few minutes of tickets becoming available. A local radio station in Missouri gave dads a chance to win tickets to the hot selling concert by participating in a contest. The contest involved dads donning high-heeled shoes and running about 50 yards in order to win 4 "Best of Both Worlds" concert tickets.
About 150 men showed up for the contest wearing high heels. The final 50 contestants competed, and the winner of the coveted concert tickets was an employee who entered the contest on behalf of his boss who has a young daughter.

The demand to see Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, has been overwhelming. Scalpers bought the concert tickets almost as soon as they became available using special software. That software has since been barred from use by a US judge. Scalpers are selling tickets far over the face value of the concert tickets.
Disney has announced that it will film early Hannah Montana concerts using new digital technology, and the film will be shown in theatres in 3D. The film is expected to be in theaters for one week in February 2008.
