Allen Ginsberg howls.
Coney Island Of The Mind
Is closed for repairs.

di Prima and Burroughs,
Cassidy and Kerouac
Echo tomorrow.

Where are the old beats
Now that we really need them?
Pushing up flowers.

Generations rise
And fall, leaving in their wake
Artifacts of sight.

The past is not better,
But it is clearly all done.
Sentience craves new growth.

Quintessence : Take 5 Haikus

Allen Ginsberg, an icon of the 'beat' poets.
