Dogs and cats are obviously a lot different from humans. They look differently, speak differently, and think differently. So why do they eat the same food as humans? Why is it that cats and dogs are getting the same cooked food humans are? While most pet owners think it is wise to feed their pets the expensive, processed dog/cat food, it may be better to feed them more raw food. Animals have a natural acid in their stomachs that allow them to digest raw meats without getting sick. If you look in the wild, you will see that animals for centuries have been eating raw food, straight from the bone. You may also observe that wild animals seem to be healthier than the domestic house pet. Wild animals never have to go to the vet, yet they still are able to live a longer life.
Feeding your cat or dog raw food has many benefits. You will notice that your pet is healthier, which means less vet bills. You will also notice that your pet's coat is shinier and that they have more energy. For those with overweight pets, your pet will have an easier time maintaining; You may even notice that your pet's odor has decreased immensely. Not only will your vet bills go down, but your pet food bills will go down as well. Fancy cat/dog food is expensive. It also does not last that long. However, raw meats like livers, necks, or other organs that are rarely bought at your grocery store are pretty cheap. Along with those, vegetables and fruits are inexpensive as well. You may also be able to get a good price from your butcher for livers and gizzards that they might have thrown away otherwise.
