Why My Cat Makes a Better Companion Than Paris Hilton
It Should Be Obvious, but There Are Some Good Reasons to Favor the Cat
For thousands of years, mankind has argued over the relative merits of owning a cat or a dog. Issues of loyalty, independence, intelligence, usefulness, and even beauty have been debated endlessly. Dog proponents cite superior loyalty, while cat loversBut now I've found a comparison that will make the "Canis" vs. "Felis" debate pale in comparison. When this debate is resolved, mankind will enter a new era of enlightenment. Poverty will be eliminated. Cancer will be stamped out. War will only exist in history books. Politicians will be honest.
Without further ado the new debate for the ages is: "Who Makes a Better Companion Paris Hilton or my cat?"
Let me frame the comparison by taking a look at a few key categories and comparing Paris and my cat head to head.
Intelligence
My cat responds to her name. She can identify the sound of my car as it enters the garage, meeting me at the back door. She's been known to pry open pantry doors and find the stashed cat treats. She can express emotion and thoughts by altering her pattern of meowing, telling me when she is hungry, distressed or scared. On the other hand, Paris believes Wal-mart is a place that sells walls. The vocabulary of Paris is mostly restricted to the two word exclamation, "That's Hot." Advantage: Cat.
