Flu Shot Providers in New Orleans

Flu Vaccination Shots will be available at several locations in New Orleans over the next few weeks. The shots are being offered at a reduced price or free of charge in most locations. Below is a list of people who are in the high-risk groups as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you are in one of these groups you need to receive the influenza vaccine.

People aged 65 years or older
Residents of long-term care facilities
Persons aged 2-64 with chronic diseases
Children aged 6 months to 2 years
Pregnant women
Health care personnel who provide direct patient care
Household contacts and caregivers of children younger than 6 months

Flu shots are available in the New Orleans area at these two locations Mon. - Fri.
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Flu shots are available at the CAN Office at 507 Frenchman St. Daily from 9 am - noon and walk-ins accepted.

The CDC is making it possible to provide thousands of free flu shots to citizens who want to prepare for the flu season by protecting themselves with a vaccine. Health workers will be equipped to provide up to 200 vaccines per hour at each of the following locations on Thursday, Oct. 25, between the hours of 2 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

On Oct. 30,2007 you will be able to get flu shots at three area Winn-Dixies from
11:00 A.M. till 2:00 P.M. The cost of the shots are $28 with Customer Reward Card and $30 without Customer Reward Card. Flu shots are free for most Medicare Customers.
