Is There Really a Lake?

General Information

Lakeside RV Park located at 12321 Highway 99 in Everett, Washington was recommended to us by someone while we were at Mt. St. Helens. We were spending five days in Seattle so decided to give it a try. I wasn't at all impressed though I have had worse experiences. Their phone number is 425-347-2970. For reservations only call 1-800-468-7275. They do not have a website. The office is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. Check out time is 11:00a.m. Lakeside RV has 190 sites. Our Site

We pulled into what I call a parking lot. Our car and travel trailer were on pavement though there was some grass behind us and three small trees on each side of us. There are many seasonal campers here. The site next to us was taken us by a small trailer that housed about five people.

We had a hard time getting in because the site was narrow and the land between sides was narrow. Luckily the man next to us was around to move his truck or we would not have been able to get in.

Amenities

At first glance it looked like there was a nice lake (thus the name). However as I got close I could see that all one can do on the lake is to fish with permission. It would have been a perfect spot for boat rentals. I would not have gone swimming in it since it looked dirty.

The laundry room was clean and large. It was really nice and I took advantage of that. The park itself is large with a lot of activities close by so the location was good. It is about 40 miles from Seattle.

Some people had a site by the lake but it seemed as if these were seasonal sites. There is no pool but there is a playground area next to the tent area. There are horseshoe pits and a short foot path by the lake. They offer RV and boat storage. The park and bathrooms were very clean. We were given a code for the restroom and laundry room. The staff was fairly friendly. Except we wanted to extend for a day and rather than being cheery the clerk had an attitude though we were able to extend.
