Master Magician, David Copperfield, once stunned the world by making the Statue of Liberty disappear on live television. Federal Agents have now returned the favor by making more than $2 Million in cash disappear before Copperfield's eyes. The seizure was part of a raid on Copperfield's private museum and magic library in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Few Illusionists can top the accomplishments of David Copperfield. Copperfield has made the Statue of Liberty disappear, levitated above the Grand Canyon, and even walked right through the Great Wall of China. While Copperfield's magical abilities are second to none, his psychic perception needs a little work, otherwise he may have foreseen the swarm of federal agents that descended upon his Las Vegas museum.

The property that was targeted by the raid was a Las Vegas warehouse owned by one of Copperfield's companies, Boy Magician Inc. Copperfield has dubbed the location "The International Museum and Library of Conjuring Arts". The property features more than 80,000 magical artifacts collected from around the world, all maintained in climate controlled display cases by a professional curator.

Copperfield is known for giving midnight tours of the museum, which start by leading guests through a secret passage in his office, which is craftily disguised as a lingerie shop from the street level. On this occasion, however, the guests were uninvited, as twelve federal agents and a number of local authorities walked through the front door with warrants in hand.

Among the items seized during the raid on the Library of Conjuring Arts was $2 Million in cash, a digital camera and a computer hard drive. The reasons for the raid are still uncertain at this time, as explanations from Law Enforcement have been vague, at best.

When I was a boy I wanted to be a magician and Copperfield and Houdini were my heroes. And Doug Hennings. Whatever happened to him?

I have read about this and just can't understand any of the allegations...I've always been a fan of his and have seen his performances in Vegas and once in Miami...why would someone like him rape anyone? It's absurd...but the money thing, maybe he was trying to avoid paying income tax....very strange indeed...thanks for the info
