My Time with Convicted Murderer Pamela Smart

Behind the Razor Wire

Pamela Smart , convicted murder, and I have been in contact for almost 4 years now. Here is our story.

Approaching my senior year in college I decided to stray away from my major. I always had this fascination with the criminal justice system, yet it was an avenue that I never explored. The first course of this nature I took was "Women and Criminal Justice." Without any background at all,
most deemed I would be a failure. About a week into the course we received our first written assignment. It read: "Pick an infamous female offender from the list provided and write a well-crafted paper discussing the role of gender in the outcome of the case."

Dr. Casey Jordan went around the room and asked each student whom they wanted to write about. It was the first subject matter we had covered in the semester, and would play a significant role in the grading. Each student told the class who they were writing about. Aileen Wuornos, Mary Kaye Letourneu, and Karla Faye Tucker. One after another these names repeated. We had already studied most of the offenders they had chosen. Wuornos was the basis of the movie "Monster" from which Charlize Theron won an Oscar. Karla Faye Tucker had been executed a few years prior after much debate. Then there was Mary Kay Letourneau. Everyone knew what she did with Villi. Nobody had mentioned one name: Pamela Smart. I decided then and there that she would be my topic. Her name looked unfamiliar to me. Even my professor had mentioned she was a "good choice but a tough one." Very quickly I would become familiar with Ms. Smart. The unfamiliar name would soon make my life much more interesting.

The only reason this crime was a media frenzy is because Pamala Smart was young and beautiful. End of story!

Interesting if nothing else, Pam is a naive sociopath who continues to try to refocus blame. "He had the affair first" "It was his fault I was lonely" "It was his fault he found me sexy" "It was her fault she went to the police" "It was the medias fault I looked good on camera" Hey Pame (rhymes with blame) all your attempts at swaying public opinion by teaching inmates, becoming a lawyer and now going after some certification as a preacher are futile in that they only reinforce the impression of you as a manipulator. Reality is your youth is gone, you are where your actions landed you and nobody gives a shit anymore, other then a few of us who continue to be fascinated by those who do incredibly stupid things with their lives. You want pity? Then give some to your Mother she deserves it for continuing to believe in you

Pam is my friend and always will be. She needs to be let out of prison. Enough is enough and she has had enough. We all make mistakes in life. She made hers with Billy Flynn. She has paid for that, now she should be free. Pam will always be my friend and I will always be her friend. Everyone should be so lucky. When I die and go up to heaven, there will always be a place next to me for her. God Bless her.

No offense Jerry, but ummm....you wrote the following: "i think your an idiot like the idiots on the jury, believe a convicted murderer who was following his dick." I noticed you don't know the difference between YOUR and YOU'RE. This leads me to believe YOU'RE a moron in other areas, such as knowing when someone is guility of murder or not based on the evidence. Now, may I suggest you use YOUR time in educating yourself so people won't assume YOU'RE simply a retard.

Yea, they are all innocent when they get their sorry butt thrown in prison, may she roast in her cell for the next 100 years. She should have been fried in the electric chair for have her husband murdered.

How is her husband doing? When is HE free to walk around? Smart should do life merely for "raping" the underage male. What would happen to a male adult having sex with a young female? Pamela Smart is a murderer. She planned her work and worked her plan. Thank God she will never get out. She took one life and ruined many others.

i just want to add one more thing,i know detectives, cops ,prosecuters, they wanted PAM, they had the kid, they fed off the media and did everything they could to get her. Along with comondations and to further somes careers. In the end what convicted her was an obsessed young man who murdered her husband(and some real flimsy evidence of her voice on a tape which doesnt even implicate her) If you can get life without parole for that, im sure you can create a senerio and frame anyone you want. i hope it haunts the jurors the rest of their lives or i wish it does, im sorry you need more than an affair to ruin a WOMENS LIFE. Theirs no way you can even be 20% sure she was in on it. thats bad odds to gamble someones life.

I saw Pam's interviews after her husband was murdered. She was called an ice princess for a reason. Her tears have all been for herself. She was happy as hell before she got caught. And as for the reason she got the stiffer sentence, she molested a teenaged boy (15 years old), convinced him that her husband was beating her up and would possibly become a threat to her life at some point in the future, and begged him on several occasions to kill her husband, thereby saving her life. Not only did she get what she deserved, but they should have thrown in a statutory rape charge. Maybe it's time we started feeling sorry for the victims and their families instead of wasting our sympathy on the murderers. How about this - the murderers get to remain in prison for as long as their victims remain dead.
