The flu is actually an upper respiratory-tract infection caused by a virus. The influenza is also called "cold" in common language. The main season of outbreak of the flu is November to March.. The Influenza is a highly contagious disease.

Symptoms include: Try cough, fever, headache, sore throat, being tired, runny nose and gastrointestinal symptoms

Flu vaccine/ immunization: Flu vaccine contains dead viruses or attenuated (weaken virus) . There are some vaccines who contains only the virus component. These virus enter in the body and activate the body immune system to produce antibodies against flue virus .There is no risk of catching infection from vaccine itself.

There are two ways of getting shot.
1-Either (killed viruses ) Flu shot by injection or
2-(attenuated viruses) Flu Mist nasal spray.

These are the people at risk and should be given Flu immunization

Children age range 6 to 59 months
50 yrs and older
people with chronic illness (any age)
pregnant woman
The health-care workers
Household contacts and caregivers

precautions

Always wash hands with soap ,sterilizing solution, alcohol base liquid before eating
Try to stay away from sick people as much as possible
Try touching your eyes, nose and mouth and use tissues to cover moth and nose
Try to stay at home as much as possible
Avoid flue shot if allergic to egg, because the vaccines are prepaid by using raw egg.
