When investing in a better quality paint product you will get more out of it then if you buy a cheaper product. Quality paint usually has less water in it. Quality paint is also determined by the types of pigment and resin that is in the can of paint. You can get cheap paints in all brands, so just because it has a brand name does not always mean it is a quality paint. High quality paint gives more square footage to the gallon and is easy to wash up when needed. If you buy paint for your home it is best to stick with the medium and the top of the line paint products.
For interior paints enamels are easier to clean then flat latex paints. They are also very durable. You can get them in a variety of finishes such as semi gloss, high gloss, and satin finishes. If you are going to paint areas that need to be washed on a regular basis such as kitchens and bathrooms then enamel paint is best to use. Finishes like semi gloss are good for bathrooms and kitchens. You can use flat paint in areas such as the living room and bedrooms. Exterior paint should be high quality paint just like interior paint. There are now great water based paints available for exterior painting with a lot less odor. You can also use oil paint for painting areas of the outside exterior of you home. It is good to pick the right paint for your home. Picking out a better quality paint will last longer on your home and will make less maintenance work for you around your home. Paint is important and should be the type of paint that will last for years on your home.
