I was invited by my friends again this year to go on a mountain biking vacation in California. The first thing I did was begin asking around about brakes. Nine out of the ten people I asked suggested that I purchase the new Juicy Seven brakes. Being the researcher that I am, I had to do my own research and find out what these brakes had to offer me that the others didn't.
Juicy Seven brakes are extremely popular. Nearly every bike store that I walked into suggested the Juicy Seven because of their performance and good stopping power. There were other things that I needed with mountain biking brakes other than the power to stop. My mountain bike needed to be compatible with both left-handed and right-handed riders because we often switch bikes halfway through the trail to test out each other's bikes. The Juicy Seven allowed for either a left-handed or right-handed person to use the bike with ease. They also offered easy alignment and good modulation. Bleeding the bikes was easy and I got to watch this through a demonstration that one of the bike store managers had displayed for me.
The Juicy Seven are much better than a lot of other brakes because they offer the type of functions that you need and they're much lighter than most. I learned the hard way about the importance of having a bike that's as light as possible without loosing the functions or performance that you need when mountain biking.
My California friend bought the new Juicy Seven brakes after they were available in stores around her home town. She paid about $160, which is the going price for the Juicy Seven. She said that they were well worth the money.
