I picked up Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Gel one day when I had a skincare emergency, and I never plan to live without it again. The first time I used Neutrogena Rapid Clear, I have to admit I was skeptical that it would live up to its promise to reduce breakouts in 8 hours. I was in the middle of a breakout, and my poor face was covered in acne. When I looked in the mirror 8 hours later, the acne was almost completely gone! Neutrogena Rapid Clear had not only treated my newly forming acne, but had also cleared up a large and embarrassing pimple on my chin.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear is a salicylic acid acne treatment, and the directions for using it are simple. You just wash your skin and apply the gel to your acne! The tube of Rapid Clear says to watch for irritation and peeling, but even my extremely sensitive skin had no negative reactions to the Acne Eliminating Gel. Even combined with my moisturizer and foundation, the Rapid Clear quickly eliminates any of my acne breakouts with no irritating side effects. The gel is clear, which means it has no dyes, which is also very important to those of us with sensitive skin.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear comes in a small half ounce tube with a secure screw-on cap. The size of the tube is one of my favorite aspects of this particular acne product. I can throw the Rapid Clear in my purse so that it's with me all the time for those awful middle of the day breakouts! Most other products I've tried don't have caps that keep the product in the tube if it gets tossed around, but my Neutrogena Rapid Clear has never leaked, despite the rough treatment it gets in my purse.

I am amazed by how cost effective the Rapid Clear is! I paid less than $7.00 for this acne treatment, which seemed to be the average price for the other acne creams and gels next to Neutrogena's on the shelf. The difference is this tiny little tube has lasted me a couple of months, and still has plenty of acne gel left inside. It takes only a tiny layer of Rapid Clear to reduce acne, which means this half ounce tube has the potential to go a very long way.
