Somehow cleaning the shower always gets overlooked on my "things to do" list. For a while, I actually paid a cleaning person to do the job I loathe the most, but it's expensive and I hate giving anyone outside the family a key to my residence. The best solution that I have found to getting and keeping a sparkling clean shower is the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner.

The machine's operation is very simple. After you shower and the shower is still wet, you push a simple button on the unit and it goes to work. The power sprayer rotates 360 degrees and sprays cleaning solution all over the walls and tub, combining with the water from your shower to blast through even the toughest dirt. If you start out with a clean shower, it will stay that way. Dirty shower will take 2 weeks or so before they get really clean from the unit without any pre-cleaning.

I love the unit because it is virtually effortless. It remains hanging on your shower head on a steel hanger that is provided at purchase, so you will never forget to press the button when you exit your shower. Plus, each refill for the machine lasts up to 21 cleanings, meaning it's a fairly cheap option to hiring a cleaning service and less painful that doing it yourself.

The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner is safe for almost every popular shower material: acrylic, tile, plastic, fiberglass, glass shower doors, and even synthetic shower curtains. However, I will warn that this cleaning method is better for a shower curtain user than those that have shower doors. The track of the shower doors get missed by the unit and needs to be wiped out now and then, but other than that, the tub looks spotless! Cleaning all your showers has never been so easy!

Takeaways
  • The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner will get a shower dirty in about two weeks.
  • The Automatic Shower Cleaner works with a touch of a button and shuts off automatically.
  • The manufacturer is giving out coupons for this product. Be on the lookout in advertisement flyers.
Did You Know?
The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner costs about $25 in most retail and drugs stores.

These stuff definitely eating through, lets say, over 10 years of white scum on the glass shower doors. After 2 weeks, we can start seeing the pink tiles through the scum.

I thought it was great at first.........then it died. I replaced the batteries still did not work. I purchased another one and it only lasted a couple of weeks also. Definately NOT worth wasting your money on.

We really liked it but after about six weeks it quit working. We replaced the battery and cleaned it and it still did not work. It must be poorly made because it should work if you take care of it.

I've been through 2 of them in less than twelve months. First one died. Bought another, now it's dead. SC Johnson's email form online doesn't work, either. Is there a trend here? I think I'll call them, next. It's a shame, because it's a great product - if only it wouldn't die so easily.

I have one and it just up and quit working one day. I really liked it until it died, so I will get another one with a coupon. Yes, I put new batteries in it and it still didn't work. It quit after about 4 bottles of cleaner. I too thought that it empties fast, but I guess it takes a bit to clean.

For my 4X4 ft shower stall, this is the perfect mold/mildew defense, along with its decent job against soapy build-up. It doesn't replace an occasional manual touch-up job, but it does lighten the load by a factor of at least five for me. I've found it to be worth the cost so far but have only had to use it every other day. I've liked it enough that I've gotten one for my college senior, off-campus in a house.

I was not impressed with this product mainly because it seemed to be leaking. They say you get about 20 cleanings out of a bottle, but I didn't get that many at all. Maybe 10. I pushed the bottle down until it popped and still after I would get out of the shower one day and go back the next the level of cleaner had gone down noticeably. And I know no one else in my house would be that excited about it to use it too much!! I would not waste my money on it.
